1985 was a year of new beginnings… the Nintendo Entertainment System was test-marketed in the US for the first time, Microsoft Windows 1.0 was released, “New” Coke made a brief appearance, the Back to the Future movies began… and Xerographic Copy Center started its legendary Gainesville residency! (We’re pretty sure we were the best new thing to hit that year, although to be honest, the NES was pretty rad.)
35 years is a long time, especially since print has been “dead” since at least 1827, am I right?
We kid, we kid.
Print has changed, but it’s still here, and not going anywhere. More people have inkjet all-in-one printers, but more people need oversized prints, direct mail, brochures, banners, yard signs and, well, the list goes on and on.
Yet, the more things change, the more things stay the same. In an age where everything is being outsourced, we still do our best to keep our work in-house and local to beautiful Gainesville, Florida. Our local competition has shrunk from 25 shops to fewer than ten, and online printing has grown from not-even-being-a-thing to an endless rabbit hole of More Cheaper Now mindless automation.
Sure, there may be times when you could find cheaper prices elsewhere, but you have little recourse if something goes wrong, and I bet they won’t leave an impression on you, nor you on them. We hope you’ll see the value in choosing a locally owned print provider who can ensure that your job is done with care… and right the first time.
Thanks for choosing Xerographic– or if you haven’t chosen us yet, for checking us out. We’d love to earn your business!
